Ingredients:
Arbi – 250 gm
Carom seeds – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Green chilli chopped – 3-4
Fresh coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Curry leaves – 6-7
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 1/2 cup for fry
Steps:
- Wash arbi leave it aside and start cooking process.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Manual Button in front dashboard and add 3 cups of water into inner cooking pot and add wash arbi into it.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 8 mins. But we only want half boil arbi so wait for 5 min Once the countdown comes down to 5 Press ‘Cancel’ button.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Remove arbi and keep it aside. Clean the pot and press sauté button. Add 1/2 cup oil to inner cooking pot and wait for few mins.
- Once oil is nicely hot add boiled arbi into oil and fry until it turn nice golden colour. Then remove arbi and also extra oil
- Next add carom seeds, curry leaves and let them pop.Then add all powder spices, green chilli, fried arbi, salt, coriander leaves and saute very well.
- Stir continuously for 2 min so that all the masala gets coated to arbi. Switch off the unit.
- Serve hot arbi with coriander chutney or sauce
